£500 IEG Progression Bursary For College Students

Inspire Education Group (IEG) is offering an exciting new opportunity for any Level 3 students who would like to progress from Stamford or Peterborough College to University Centre Peterborough.

If you are an existing Level 3 College student progressing into full-time higher education at University Centre Peterborough, you can apply for the IEG Progression Bursary and be awarded £500 at the end of your first year.

This money, which is paid in full at the end of your first year, can be used to support yourself in any way you would like. This could be helping with your travel to university, putting towards a new laptop or used to cover your food in the cafeteria for the year; it’s up to you.

There are some criteria you must hit to be eligible for this bursary; these are listed below.

  • You must have completed a Level 3 course at either Stamford College or Peterborough College and be enrolling on a course at University Centre Peterborough due to start September 2023.
  • You must be enrolled on a full-time SLC funder University Centre Peterborough course at the time of payment.
  • Students eligible for the bursary must have completed a Level 3 programme (e.g. BTEC, A-Level, Access to HE) at either Stamford College or Peterborough college in 2022/23.
  • This bursary is available for your first year of study only.
  • The bursary will be paid on completion and achievement of all elements or credits within your first year of study.
  • This bursary will NOT affect the awarding of other SLC / APP-related bursaries.
  • There is an expectation from IEG that recipients of the bursary will assist in future outreach, marketing and peer supportive activities.

The UCAS application deadline is Wednesday 25th January, which is fast approaching, so make sure you speak to your careers advisor and get your university application in before this date.
