Our commitment to HE in the local area

Following the announcement by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority on Tuesday 14 July 2020, for the development of an independent university for Peterborough, University Centre Peterborough (UCP) can confirm that we are fully committed to providing higher education for the local area now and in the future.

All of the degrees at University Centre Peterborough have been developed by working with local employers to provide graduates with the knowledge, skills and experience required for the workplace.

In fact this provision is set to grow in the future following the formation of the Inspire Education Group with the merger of Peterborough Regional College and New College Stamford, which will see University Centre Peterborough become the higher education provider for the group.

This is an exciting time and we firmly believe that there is room for both the UCP and the University to work alongside each other to raise aspirations, widen participation and develop future generations of graduates.
