UCP Forensic Investigation Graduate Secures Role as Victim Care Officer within the Gloucestershire Constabulary

BSc (Hons) Forensic Investigation graduate of University Centre Peterborough (UCP), Maddi Hobman, has secured a role as Victim Care Officer within the Gloucestershire Constabulary.

The position will involve supporting victims of crime throughout their journey towards justice. She will be their main point of contact, supporting them during court proceedings, relaying their rights and ensuring that all their needs are met.

Maddi praised the support that she received during her studies at UCP, saying, “The support on offer was exceptional. I have additional learning requirements which were evaluated upon my enrolment at the University, and reassessed periodically to ensure that I received all the support required”. She continued, “The lecturers are fantastic, and are willing to help wherever possible. This included one-to-one support, or group discussions regarding general curriculum queries or assignment guidance. UCP is a place where your lecturers truly care for you and want to support you throughout your journey, so if you’re looking for a smaller university, this is an amazing option. Attend an Open Event, have a look online, or speak to the lecturers, and get a feel for the University. If it feels right for you, then go for it!”.

Reminiscing on the many fond memories of her time at UCP, Maddi shared, “I really enjoyed the opportunities to gain industry experience, such as attending a post-mortem, and being put in contact with criminal justice professionals. However, as of September, I expect my most memorable moment of my time at UCP will be my graduation. I can’t wait!”.

We hope that the graduation ceremony is the perfect close to your university experience, Maddi! Inspire Education Group wishes you the best of luck in your future endeavours.
