Poetry and Flash Fiction Competition

Do you have any aspiring novelist, poets, writers at your school?

University Centre Peterborough are hosting a Literary Competition with TWO divisions and TWO categories, with prizes to be won! Winners will be contacted via email and announced at the launch of the UCP Anthology on June 15th 2022 in front of special guests!

16 and over
2 categories: Poetry (max 40 lines) and Flash Fiction (max 500 words)
Prizes (per category): 1st prize £100, second prize £50

14-16
1 combined category:
Poetry (max 40 lines) and Flash Fiction (max 500 words)
Prize: 1st prize £50 book tokens

Closing date:
 30th April 2022
Judge: Andrew McDonnell - published writer, Poetry Editor at Gatehouse Press, and course leader for BA (Hons) English Literature with Creative Writing at UCP.
Enter: email entries to UCPlitcomp@gmail.com with either POETRY, FLASH or KS4 in the subject line. Entries must be attached in a word document with the word or line count in the top right-hand corner. Save your word document with the title of your piece and DO NOT include your name. Put your name, place of study, and age in the body of the email.
