University Centre Peterborough Student, Amy Morris, Has Secured A Funded Place With Teach East To Complete Her Teacher Training

Amy Morris started her time at University Centre Peterborough studying a Foundation Degree in Early Years and Education, completing this with a distinction she decided to further her studies and went on to study a BA (Hons) Primary Education Studies (Top-Up) with the University.

Amy loves her course, “the best thing about my course is studying with like-minded peers, who can apply their knowledge and experience to class discussions and further each other’s understanding”.

Amy praised the benefits of studying at the University “the lecturers are always so supportive, they always go out of their way to answer questions whether in person or virtually”. She also commended the support with future employment opportunities “They [University Centre Peterborough] have an employability hub which supports many students seeking roles in a field they are passionate about” Amy continued “for those who are already in their chosen field, support is provided so students know how to progress into new roles, as well as CV writing and using LinkedIn”.

Amy recommended studying at University Centre Peterborough “It has many benefits which makes it a great place to study, especially for those who are local to the area or would thrive with small classes and close support”.

After university, Amy has secured a funded place with Teach East to complete her teacher training. This will allow her to continue to teach and gain a wealth of experience among other excellent practitioners.

The award-winning student blog Inside The Box is launching its own radio show this week. A new episode of the radio show will be live each Wednesday, with the first going out on the 15th March, and will feature shows including showbiz, music, film & TV and interviews with local MPs and people of interest.

University Centre Peterborough currently has around 700 students on over 30 different degree level programmes.
