Become a Professional Full Stack Software Developer

Diploma in Web Application Development

  • Complete the course in 52 weeks.

Where can this course get you?

The content aims to develop your abilities and proficiency in the most relevant and sought-after coding languages and tools for front-end and back-end development.

You will learn industry-ready skills to take up roles across software/web application developer, full-stack/front-end/back-end developer, QA engineer or Software support engineers.

You do not need prior coding experience.

What are the entry requirements?

  • You must be aged 19 or over
  • Applicants must complete the 5-step coding challenge set by Code Institute
  • Applicants will conduct an interview to determine suitability
  • Applicants should have a working knowledge of the English language, both written and verbal.

Learners will also require access to a computer or laptop and a broadband connection.

What are the key modules?

User-Centric Frontend Development

This unit aims to provide learners with the knowledge and skills needed to build a front end web application. It includes understanding the principles of responsive design, documentation and effective layout of content.

Interactive Frontend Development

This unit aims to develop the knowledge and skills needed to build a dynamic, interactive Frontend web application. It includes understanding user input and control when interacting with a web application. It also includes understanding the principles of manual testing for debugging.

Data-Centric Development

This focuses on understanding and developing the practical skills to build a Back End web application. Topics covered include data storage and data management using relational and non-relational databases.

Full Stack Frameworks with Django

Learners build on their existing skills and learn how to integrate them effectively to build a Full Stack web application. The unit covers the use of frameworks, APIs, automated testing, persistent storage, user authentication and eCommerce functionality.
